Camilla gave an interview to Entertainment Weekly about the Grey’s premiere and you can read some of it here.
Yes, she’s happy Alex didn’t beat up Paul, but is there fear now that Paul could somehow track her down?
I think because Alex didn’t say anything to him, I feel like she won’t feel that there’s that fear there. Also, she now knows where he is. So there’s power in knowledge, and he feels very far away. Right now, there’s still a feeling of safety, and maybe even comfort, in knowing that he’s so far from her. But yeah, I don’t think she feels an immediate threat after the conversation, which is a big deal to her.
And yet he is coming back.
They haven’t confirmed it. ABC has not confirmed Matthew Morrison is coming back. That’s all I can say, but I’ll still try to answer a question.
Can you, from an actor’s perspective, talk about prepping — at least in your head — to explore this other side once he does come back into the picture?
I feel like this has been the weight on Jo, because obviously I didn’t know she was married until the end of season 12, then I felt like all of 13, I personally, as an actor, felt all this weight on her from it. And I realize that’s something she can’t shake maybe until they do see each other again. It’s a very important story to tell. I’m honored to be part of that story, and I hope that we do see him, and hopefully it does lead to some sort of healing and closure for her. But it’s also kind of terrifying, the idea of seeing him again, because the way she’s described him is that he’s very, very, very manipulative, and he’s a very frightening person. I would love her to have the strength to continue to stand up for herself, but we haven’t seen what that relationship is like together yet. So, we’ll have to see, if they do meet, what that means for her.
Camilla was interviewed by Mom Tastic about her pregnancy and you can read some of it here on the site!
MT: You’ve been working throughout your pregnancy. Any challenges beyond the exhaustion?
CL: I suffered from severe morning sickness for the first six months, and I ended up throwing up in the middle of a scene we were shooting. I thought, ‘Oh my God! People are going to think I’ve come into work hungover!’ So, even though it was very early on and I was keeping my pregnancy a secret, I felt like I needed to go to Shonda [Rhimes, the show’s creator] and tell her I was pregnant.
MT: Has it been difficult going through pregnancy without your mom?
CL: Yes, I miss her a lot. One of the things that I’ve found hard is I haven’t been able to pick up the phone and talk to her about her experiences while pregnant. During my first trimester, I was so shocked by the exhaustion and the nausea, and I had nose bleeds. I had this idyllic image of me doing yoga every day and looking so chic, and that hasn’t been the case at all. I really wish that I could have called my mum about that stuff.
MT: Last Q before we let you go: How do you think Matthew will handle having a little girl?
CL: He has always wanted a daughter. I think there is just something very special about a daddy and a daughter relationship. I’m worried for him, though. I think he’s going to be an emotional mess and she’ll be able to wrap him around her finger very easily! <<Read More>>
Jo Wilson couldn’t find herself in a worse position in Season 13 of Grey’s Anatomy. Not only is Jo (Camilla Luddington) keeping a huge secret buried in the past, but she’s also dealing with the fallout of Alex’s (Justin Chambers) brutal beating of DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti). With their relationship on the rocks, will Alex and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) finally become an item?
In the meantime, Luddington recently sat down with Cosmopolitan and discussed her character’s future with Alex.
For starters, Luddington revealed that she didn’t know about Jo’s past until last season. The Season 9 finale first mentioned Jo’s problematic past, but Luddington and Rhimes didn’t sit down to talk about the specifics until Season 12.
In fact, the actress didn’t know that Jo was married to an abusive husband whom she never officially divorced until sitting down for the table read.
“People think that we know a lot of stuff ahead of time, but [the writers] enjoy us finding out at the table read. So there was like actual shock and Justin was sat across from me, and he just shook his head in, like, complete disapproval! I was like, “I’m so sorry! I didn’t know!” she explained.

Unlike other actresses who wear full faces of HD makeup for on-camera close-ups, it’s a different story for Camilla Ludington.
The woman plays an over-worked doctor on the hit TV show Grey’s Anatomy, so it makes sense that her character doesn’t consider perfectly painted makeup to be a first priority.
With that being the case, it isn’t the least bit surprising that in her real life she’s actually pretty excited about beauty products. For details on her go-to routine, what she cut out of her diet to rid her complexion of acne and what scent she’s been wearing for a decade, keep reading.
What is your everyday makeup look?
On Grey’s Anatomy our makeup is super (emphasis on super) natural, so I actually like to play it up more in my everyday life. My go-to is a bronzed lid with a cat-eye liner and a nude lip.
What is your signature lip color?
I actually mix two colors. I use Laura Mercier Lipstick in Peche (which gives it the nude color) as a base and top it with Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color in Soft Coral when I want a little more color.
Bronzer or blush?
Both! I take Benefit’s Hoola Matte Bronzer and I use it for a subtle contour. I sweep it down my temples, under my cheekbones and then under my jaw to make a 3-shape on my face. Then I take my Benefit Coralista Blush and I add it for a pop of color just on my cheeks.
